How to make vegan Paczki? or some of you may be wandering, what is a Paczki? Well, Paczki (which sounds nothing like what it appears, poonch-ke) is are light, delectable pieces of art filled with creams or preserves and topped with powdered sugar or icing. They are most like a jelly-filled yeast doughnut. It is a polish tradition to eat Paczki on Fat Tuesday or Fat Thurday to clear to house of lard, sugar, and everything else great (probably not vegan) before the start of lent. Catholic Polish towns in America like Hamtramck, Michigan have huge festivals for Pacski Day. So, let the Paczki party begin!
